Umtanum Creek, Yakima River Canyon, WA
May 2018

Synopsis
Still my favorite place in Eastern Washington to bird in the spring time. We lead another Seattle Audubon Field trip there in May. Great birds and a great group of people who signed up to come out. The highlight of the trip this time was easily the Long-eared Owl family that were raising 3 young in an old Cooper's Hawk (likely a former crow's) nest in an aspen grove.
