Synopsis
Our annual trip to Potholes is always a welcome spring trip. We stuck to our usual routine of Potholes State Park camping and hikng around Columbia NWR during the day. The numbers of Snow Goose on the reservior was lower this year for whatever reason (maybe earlier migration?). But we still saw the usual suspects, and enjoyed the sunshine and dry air of Eastern Washington.

A stop at Whiskey Dick Wildlife Area provided great wildflowers, though bird numbers were low likely because of the wind.
