Discovery Park, Seattle,
Synopsis
A surprisingly large park within Seattle, Discovery Park owes its survival to its historical military use. Secondary forest, wetlands, rocky beaches, and large meadows provide a wide variety for habitats in the middle of urban sprawl. It is a well used park for joggers, dog walkers, families and birders alike.
